Brand Film for SDMTEC

When Seth May approached us to help improve his online presence for his A/V integration & design business, SDMTEC, we jumped into two major needs:

  1. All SDMTEC had at the time was a simple landing page; no stories, not much detail showing his incredible work. He needed a new website that was easy to update, and fast to launch.
  2. His full story wasn’t readily available to learn about online – they needed an engaging brand film that expressed the heart and soul of his business in a condensed format and style.

We shot the film at a local church where his business had helped install brand new A/V systems. There, we staged an area in their worship center to film Seth’s interview-style story. Watch the film below:

We wanted to lean heavily into the aesthetic of the production environment as much as possible to create that visual landscape, which matches perfectly with SDMTEC’s ideal audience.

After filming his interview, we staged various b-roll segments with his team. We also followed him to an active installation to capture how they work in an authentic environment, which also gave us more interesting sequences to cut into the final film.

For the website needs, we built out a brand-new website in Squarespace. This allowed us to quickly turn around a fully-functional, adaptive website for his business that would give him a hassle-free launchpad for SDMTEC’s online presence.

There, we published several stories of his body of work as a sought-after integrator, as well as the final brand film. We were so excited to create these pieces for SDMTEC so that they could continue to build their brand’s story online.
